Who are we ?

The OFAVB was created by doctors (surgeons, paediatricians, radiologist, epidemiologist) treating biliary atresia patients in France.



The OFAVB welcomes everybody who is interested in biliary atresia (medical staff, patients' families).

What are our aims ?

The aims of the OFAVB are to promote research, medical progress, information of the families, and medical teaching on biliary atresia and associated conditions.

How do we work ?

The OFAVB is a non-governmental organisation, which was officially registered in France on december 15th, 2001. The official status is available on this site.
Everybody who is interested in joining us is invited to contact us. The amount of the annual individual subscription is 10 Euros.

We work on a voluntary basis. Financially, the OFAVB relies on research credits and donations.
